We have roughly 1500 registered quartets in our beloved Society, but less than 10% of them get active coaching. Usually the reason is money and geography. Well, now you don't have to worry about either. If you have always wanted to get some coaching, but could not afford it, here's your answer!!
We have assembled for you a list of gentlemen whose talents and training are quite extensive. You don't have to be a certified judge to be a part of this coaching team, but currently most of them are.
Please understand that these men have donated their time. There are no fee's involved for the quartets or choruses asking for help. The coaches are under no obligation to say "yes" if they are too busy, or are full. Each coach gets to decide how many groups he can handle. If one is not available, simply return to this page and select another.
How does this work?
- Contact a coach and ask if you can send a recording (preferably an MP3).
- When the coach agrees to take the time to help, simply attach your MP3 to an e-mail.
- Await the valuable e-mailed remarks from the coach you selected. The coach will get to decide how quickly he can reply. Some are faster than others, but be patient and always respect their efforts and their generosity.
Tech stuff
Don't know how to make mp3s? Please direct any technical question to the mp3 software people or someone you know who is "computer friendly".
General equipment required:
- Digital recorder (preferred) or cassette.
- 1/8th inch stereo cable to connect your recording device to your sound card. Both ends of this cable are male.
- MP3 Software that creates MP3's (see link above or go to your local computer store).
- Microphone (there are no guidelines, the better the mic, the better your recording).

If you would like to be added to our coaches list or know someone who would, please contact us. You don't have to be a judge, but some coaching experience is a must. The only thing we ask is that you donate your time to coach and assist others. This is the way we will all benefit from raising the level of excellence in our art form.
