The Barbershop Harmony Society will webcast selected portions of the 2000 International Convention in Kansas City live on the Internet.
The audio-only broadcast will begin Saturday afternoon after the chorus contest and include the Father/Son/Grandson chorus, the Masters of Harmony "swan song", and the announcement of the chorus contest results. (Time
approx 3:45 p.m. CDT - check back to web page often for specifics.)
The broadcast will continue in the evening with the Quartet Finals (Top Ten) and final results. Tune in at
6:30 p.m. CDT for all the action.
Well-known barbershop personality Phil DeBar and Harmonet Reporter Steve
Tremper will provide commentary and highlights of the weeks' activities.
Additionally, contest highlights will be archived and available online in the days following the live webcast.
Listeners are asked to remember that this is a pilot program, with audio signal similar to AM radio mono quality. Errors, drops, and poor audio quality may occur for some users.
